SALTWOOD CELEBRATES 800TH ANNIVERSARY
Parishioners living in the church parish of Saltwood celebrated the fact that the Parish has had a Rector for 800 years. In truth, the church's history goes back even further than 800 years, but the first recorded rector, Walter de Gray, was installed in 1207.

On the Saturday evening there was an event in the grounds of Saltwood Castle where several groups but predominantly Castle WI, 1st Saltwood Scouts and the Church Choir displayed a tableaux depicting life in different periods throughout the Village’s history.
