The church of St Peter & St Paul Saltwood


Part 1.	Contains plans showing the location of graves and interred ashes, identified by surname.
Part 2.	Shows in tabulated form as many personal details as are available, with surname, forename or initial and date of death, as shown on memorials and in the Burial Registers, or other old records.
Part 3.	Is a survey of the churchyard, and is a record of all major features, headstones and memorial tablets. It permits the identification of some, but not all, un-marked graves.

In all parts the churchyard is divided into six sections, from the most recent these are; West Extension, West, North Lower, North Upper, South East and South West with the earliest identified grave. The two Gardens of Remembrance are shown separately.

You will find on the following examples of of 44 pages of Saltwood Burial Records going back to 1934. Earlier records can be found at the Canterbury Library and Archives Office in Canterbury on (http://www.kfhs.org.uk/kentinfo-2.htm#canterbury) - See Example

Copies of the Saltwood Records may be purchased. (We regret that we are unable to make copies freely available or down loadable - there are costs involved in compiling, recording,postage, printing and packing.)
