Youth Alpha

Intentional Discipleship

Festival of Flowers, Music and Art

Youth Alpha Service

February 6th, 9:30am

Youth Alpha MembersDuring the autumn of 2010 a small group of teenagers met for our first Youth Alpha course - run by Annie Cooper and supported by Claire Whitehead and Rosalyn Baker. Over meals, generously donated by members of the congregation, they got to know each other and explored their Christian faith. They now want to give back to the congregation. They will be sharing what they have learnt at the February Family Service and will be leading the worship for us. Between now and then, they will be asking you what you think about different areas of the Christian faith and videoing your responses for their presentation. Please come to the service and invite others you know who might be interested.

Are you a disciple?

Lent 2011

Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'

Matthew 28:18-20

During Lent 2011 there will be an opportunity to explore what discipleship means and how we might become better disciples. This will be done through a course run in small groups during five weeks of Lent.
