FLOWER FESTIVAL 23RD TO 26TH M AY

ROTAS: The rotas for manning the flower festival are displayed on the notice board at the back of the church. These are not the final rotas, however, as there are a few gaps which need to be filled.  The final rotas will be ready by the middle of the week and everyone will receive a copy. If you can fill any of the outstanding vacancies, could you please add your name to in the blank space(s) provided.  Please note that some periods have been oversubscribed so it has not been possible to take up all the offers of help although we have spread the load so that everyone who has volunteered will be needed for at least some of the time they have said they would be available.

LUNCHES: We have to make a decision on Monday whether or not to go ahead with the lunches planned for next Saturday and Sunday. The idea of running these lunches was to raise some money to help pay for the overheads (e.g. publicity materials) for the Village's weekend, to provide another opportunity for parishioners to share a meal together, but also to gauge the extent of interest in, and the feasibility of, offering parish lunches on a regular basis which is what many other parishes in the Diocese are now doing. There are only 50 lunches available on each day but, at the time of preparing this leaflet, we have sold just 3 lunches. Tickets will be on sale after this Sunday's services.

JAZZ EVENING:  Tickets will be available after Sunday services or from the Rectory.

PLANTS FOR SALE
I am potting up lots of perennials and shrubs for sale for church funds, for example aquilegia, crocosmias, erysimum, fragaria, geum, lychnis, heuchera, hosta, iris, penstemon, phlox and many others.  Please ring me, John Lewis, on 268698

THE LADS’ CLUB
The Lads’ Club has been decorated recently and we are very grateful to Mrs. Venke Tatt who has made new curtains for us.  Her number, should you need any curtains or soft furnishings, is 862460
