Traidcraft - fighting poverty
Established as a Christian response to poverty, Traidcraft is the UK's leading Fair trade organisation. By promoting fair trade it helps people in over thirty developing countries transform their lives by securing a fair price for goods and labour. Saltwood is one of many parishes in Canterbury Diocese that run Traidcraft stalls. The stall is open after the 9:30am service on most alternate Sundays. A full range of everyday products is provided, including tea, coffee, sugar, cereals, rice, biscuits chocolate and sweets with additional goods at Christmas. Stall dates are listed along side and on the church porch notice board.
Traidcraft's Chocolate Drive
After the Youth Alpha Service on Sunday 6th February (9:30am) there will be a (pre-Lent!) opportunity to sample six wonderful flavours of Traidcraft chocolate - buy now or for Easter! Taste the sweetness of justice and fairer trading...
The righteous care about justice for the poor,
but the wicked have no such concern.
